Community & Social Performance

Larvotto Resources is deeply committed to being a valued and responsible member of Hillgrove and the broader New England community.

We seek to build enduring, respectful relationships and contribute positively to the social and economic prosperity of the region.

Key Commitments and Focus Areas:

Meaningful Community Engagement:

  • The Hillgrove Hub: Our Hillgrove Hub in Armidale is a cornerstone of our community engagement strategy. This dedicated shopfront, officially opened in April 2025, serves as a central point where local residents can directly engage with Larvotto representatives, access up-to-date project information, discuss any concerns, and participate in community discussions. It underscores our long-term commitment to transparent dialogue and local interaction.
  • Open Dialogue: Maintaining open and transparent communication channels with all stakeholders, including regular community meetings and feedback mechanisms.

Local Economic Contribution:

  • Local Employment: Prioritising employment for residents of Hillgrove, Armidale and the New England region, creating significant job opportunities as the mine commences production. This includes a commitment to housing the majority of our workforce in Armidale, fostering a stable, non-FIFO operation.
  • Local Procurement & Business Support: Maximising opportunities to source goods and services from local businesses, strengthening the regional economy.
  • Economic Benefits: Contributing to the regional and national economy through direct employment, local spending, and potential indirect economic stimulus.

Indigenous Relations & Cultural Heritage:

  • Respect for Heritage: Respecting and protecting Indigenous cultural heritage in the project area.
  • Partnerships: Seeking to build strong relationships and partnerships with traditional custodians, ensuring their perspectives are heard and incorporated.

Community Investment & Development:

  • Strategic Partnerships: Actively seeking opportunities to partner with and support local initiatives, events, and organisations that enhance the social fabric of our community, such as local sports, cultural events, and educational programs.
  • Regional Growth: Our commitment extends to delivering critical minerals that will contribute to regional growth and national economic goals.
